We finally have seen the much anticipated 2022 Toyota Tundra after a long wait. Although there’s still a few things Toyota hasn’t confirmed, let’s take a look at three things you should know about the next-generation Toyota Tundra. more New Tundra Engine Options The all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra will offer two different power configurations. The first option will feature a highly efficient twin-turbo V6 producing 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. For those wanting more raw power, the second option features the iForce MAX powertrain boosting the output to 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. This second option incorporates parallel hybrid components giving it a highly responsive performance at extremes such as extra power when towing, linear power delivery on the highway and peak torque when off-road. Platform and Suspension Upgrade The next-generation Toyota Tundra not only can talk the talk but it can also walk the walk. This truck features a new fully boxed frame made of both high-tension steel and aluminum, as well as, a newly developed double wishbone front suspension and new multi-link rear suspension. What does this mean? Increased lateral rigidity, better ride comfort and enhanced overall handling. If you want to take things up a step, an optional air suspension system with automatic leveling or Toyota’s Adaptive Variable Suspension is available. Haul Like Never Before Given all the upgrades already discussed, Toyota didn’t let up when it came to the Tundra’s towing capability and features. The 2022 Toyota Tundra can tow up to 12,000 pounds which is a 17.6% increase from the previous generation and haul as much as 1,925 pounds. To make all this towing and hauling easier for the driver, Toyota has incorporated a host of features. One of those being the Multi-Terrain Monitor which gives the driver a front, rear and side camera view of the truck’s surroundings. Then there’s two new Tow/Haul Modes and an available Panoramic View Monitor which gives a top-down perspective. Check out all of the 2022 Tundra towing features. Those are just a few highlights coming to the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra. To learn more details check out Meet The 2022 Toyota Tundra.
