Are you ready to check out an unbelievable new truck? If yes, then get excited for the 2021 Toyota Tundra. Rumor has it that it will be coming out as a hybrid. Here’s some data on the present Tundra and some prospects of the new model.

Exterior

The Tundra is an exceptional truck in the first place. It sports great 18-inch wheels which reduce unsprung mass by 3.35 lbs for every wheel. This improves overall driving quality. At the front of the truck, there are TRD-tuned springs that coil around the heavy-duty FOX shocks. This amounts to a 46 mm piston and 11 bypass zones, helping control the front wheels’ added 1.5 inches of travel. At the back, you’ll find an extra two inches, 12 bypass zones and 2.5 inches of piggyback reservoirs.

In regards to the upcoming 2021 Tundra, there could well be be a whole new look and style as well as updated technology. However, the body-on-frame platform that is presently used will likely remain the same. It’s likely that the core platform will be similar with its Toyota New Global Architecture, which improves overall ride quality, heightens responsiveness in steering, creates lightweight powertrain and generates better efficiency and quicker production.

Power

The 2019 Toyota Tundra comes equipped with a tuned dual exhaust with black chrome exhaust tips. It makes for an amazingly powerful ride and compliments the powerful 5.7 liter V-8 engine.

Regarding the upcoming 2021 Toyota Tundra, a hybrid 3.5 liter twin turbo V-6 engine is possible. Likewise, it is rumored that the engine could have 354 horsepower and 369 pounds per feet of torque. If this ends up being the case, then the engine will be more powerful than its previous versions and the powertrain will be one of the more unique features in the 2021 model. To summarize, though nothing is for sure, it is likely that a hybrid engine will be on offer, with a twin turbo V-6 engine that runs at 450-500 horsepower.

It does seem likely that great highlights like a 10 speed automatic transmission and new air suspension will be implemented.

Interior

The 2019 Tundra offers an exceptional interior cabin with a TRD pro logo, leather-trimmed seating and red contrast stitching. There’s a TRD shift knob, pro-branded floor mats and a center-console emblem. The cabin is exceptionally spacious and comfortable with room to spread out, and there is an intuitive console and layout.

The 2019 model also offers a selection of premium interiors, like the 1974 edition interior and the platinum interior. There are also dual zone automatic climate control, fold-up rear seats, and a convenient center console. There’s a rumor that a new rear suspension is on the horizon, as well. For the 2021 Tundra, it’s likely that the interior will remain straightforward, efficient and easy to use.

There is a great deal of excitement in store regarding the upcoming 2021 Toyota Tundra. While it’s still unknown what the specs will be exactly, it’s going to be an excellent and extremely powerful vehicle. Stay in the know by being in contact with your local dealership.
