What's New for the 2026 Toyota Corolla?
The long-lasting appeal of the Toyota Corolla is rooted in its decades-long focus on evolution. In 2026, the Corolla benefits from several updates to its hatchback body style. In addition, both the hatchback and sedan versions receive improvements to the tech and safety features.
The Corolla hatchback is now available with the same FX Edition that was introduced to the sedan version last year. The FX Edition gives you 18-inch white wheels as well as exterior design upgrades for a more athletic look. This version is available in Blue Crush Metallic, Inferno, and Ice Cap paint colors. Additional upgrades are found inside the Corolla FX Edition. These include sport seats with suede inserts and orange accent stitching.
Other trim levels receive cabin and safety upgrades. All trim levels now have a rear cross-traffic alert and a blind-spot monitor. The LE and SE trims add a 7-inch infotainment system screen. The XSE and XLE trims have a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen.
Other aspects of the 2026 Toyota Corolla are identical to the 2025 model year. This model continues to have a sleek design with a smoothly rolling hood that fades into a bold nose. The curved nose shows off a large grille integrated with triangular air vents. These features span the width of the nose. The three-pronged LED headlights are linked by a slender, black band that runs above the grille.
The sedan and hatchback body styles both have a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. This system delivers 169 horsepower. It features front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. A hybrid four-cylinder engine is also available for the sedan body style. It produces 138 horsepower.
The 2026 Corolla is well-appointed for all trim levels. Select or all trims come with a nine-speaker JBL sound system, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a sunroof, a wireless charging pad, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure mitigation, lane keeping, four USB-C ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and other notable features.
