One of the most common issues vehicles face during the summer months is overheating. Therefore, you want to check your vehicle’s cooling system to ensure that you don’t end up on the side of the road. Be sure to check the coolant level. Also, check the vehicle’s temperature while it is in operation.

You don’t want to deal with a dead or poor air conditioner during the hottest months of the summer. Make sure that your vehicle’s air conditioner is blowing cool air. Also, check the vehicle’s cabin air filter to ensure that you are getting the proper flow of clean air. Since your tires play an important role in vehicle performance and safety, you will want to make sure they are in top shape. Inspect the tread on each tire. If you have any tread with less than 2/32 inches of depth, it will need to be replaced. You can find out by placing a penny - upside down - in the tread. If you can see Lincoln’s head, then the tire’s tread may be too shallow. Also, be sure to check the pressure level on each tire.

Make sure you don’t end up with a dead battery on the road. Test your battery’s charging power and inspect the battery casing and terminals for any signs of corrosion.
