Performance

Across the six trim levels for the 2024 Toyota RAV4, you'll find the same four-cylinder, 203-horsepower gas engine paired with an eight-speed auto transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard for most trims, and all-wheel drive is standard for the TRD Off-Road and Adventure trim levels. Similarly, the 2024 Highlander features a single powertrain option – a 265-horsepower, turbo 2.4-liter gas engine. All trims have an eight-speed auto transmission and the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The 2024 RAV4 boasts a distinctive style, a bold front-end design, and a tall yet tapered profile. Its wide, A-frame grille is accented with horizontal bars, and the lower fascia extends the A-frame shape. The thick headlights are sharply pointed, sitting over rectangular fog light ports. In contrast, the 2024 Highlander exhibits larger dimensions, light molding over the fenders, and a captivating swell over the rear haunches. The A-frame grille is shorter and outlined with chrome trim. The lower fascia is thin, and high-mounted LED headlights are underscored with an accent light.

Features

Whether you prefer the RAV4 or Highlander, your new vehicle may come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, USB ports, a hands-free liftgate, a panoramic sunroof, forward collision mitigation, a wireless charging pad, a digital rearview mirror, a surround-view camera, a JBL audio system, and heated front seats, among others. The Highlander stands out with three rows and additional features like heated second-row captain's chairs, a household power outlet, a larger central display screen, an intercom system, driver's memory settings, and more.

1. Never tow beyond a vehicle's published towing capacities. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. "Added vehicle equipment" includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle's exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo. [Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.] Installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner's Manual for limitations.
2. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. Always properly secure cargo and cargo area.
