2023 Toyota RAV4 vs 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Serving Dublin, OH

The Toyota RAV4 has a long-standing history of delivering the functionality and solid performance that drivers expect, and the 2023 RAV4 raises the bar with a larger instrumentation panel and a larger infotainment system screen in select trims. The RAV4 is available with one gas-powered engine, and the RAV4 Hybrid is available as a separate model. At Tansky Sawmill Toyota, we want every customer to have the full facts about their options, and we are standing by to help you explore the differences between these popular options.

Performance

The 2023 RAV4 is available with the same engine across its six trims. This is a 203-horsepower, four-cylinder system connected to an eight-speed auto transmission. Some trims are also equipped with selectable terrain drive modes, hill descent control, all-wheel drive, and a raised suspension system. Likewise, the 2023 RAV4 Hybrid has one powertrain for its seven trims. This system pairs two electric motors with a four-cylinder engine. This is an all-wheel drive system with a continuously variable transmission. Some trims have a sport suspension or an off-road suspension.

Appearance

The RAV4 and the RAV4 Hybrid are styled similarly with long, angled creases and geometrically designed body molding on the sides. While both have a downturned bumper and an A-style grille, the RAV4's grille is smaller while the bumper is larger. The RAV4 Hybrid also has LED bars running through its headlights and larger, deep-set air vents. Both models are available with all-terrain tires, a power liftgate, a sunroof, and 17-inch wheels or larger. The RAV4 Hybrid has a Woodland Edition trim that comes with bronze-colored wheels and special badging.

Features

The 2023 RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid share many features. These include an 11-speaker JBL audio system, a 10.5-inch touch display screen, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, synthetic leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, a wireless charging station, heated front seats, wireless Android Auto with Apple CarPlay, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor and other equipment. The RAV4 Hybrid is also available with front and rear parking sensors, auto braking, blue cabin lights, more USB ports, and road sign recognition.

1. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. "Added vehicle equipment" includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle's exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo. [Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.] Installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner's Manual for limitations.
